The initial sync with Dropbox took around 5 minutes to complete and during that time the app is not completely responsive. While background syncing is not instantaneous it is still very fast. I am currently syncing 10 databases with over 10,000 documents. Or, sync one database with multiple services. DEVONthink provides an option to sync each database through a different service. If you’re looking for an alternative to Dropbox, then DTTG2 will not disappoint with options like Box.com, and even WebDAV. Database encryption reduces my discomfort with Dropbox syncing. Sure, DEVONthink for iOS and Mac support Dropbox syncing, but it goes well beyond that.
